Common foot problems we see every day — and help with through scans, custom orthotics and foot care.

Flat Foot
Flat feet

The arch drops so the whole sole touches the floor — causing tired, aching feet and affecting gait and postural balance.

Heel Pain / Calcaneal Spurs
Heel pain from a calcaneal spur

A small bony growth under the heel that makes standing and walking painful.

Plantar Fasciitis
Plantar fasciitis heel pain

Strain of the band under the foot — sharp heel pain, worst with the first steps in the morning.

Callosities
Callosities on the sole

Thick, hard skin that builds up where the foot takes too much pressure.

Dry Feet
Dry cracked heels

Dry, cracked heels that can split and hurt — a special risk for people with diabetes.

Trophic Ulcer
Trophic ulcer on the sole

A slow-healing wound caused by repeated pressure, often in diabetic feet with reduced sensation.

Claw Foot Deformity
Claw foot compared with an unaffected foot

Toes bend down like a claw, causing pressure points, corns and callosities.

Not sure what's wrong?

A foot scan shows exactly where your feet are under strain — and what will help.

FAQs

Questions, answered

Can't find your answer? Call us on 80737 49889.

What are orthotic insoles? +

Orthotic insoles are specifically prescribed by a doctor to address particular structural and biomechanical issues of the foot.

How do I know I need orthotic insoles? +

There is a wide range of foot problems, such as heel pain due to calcaneal spurs, plantar fasciitis, flat foot, diabetic neuropathy and diabetic foot deformities. These problems need custom-made orthotics to support the foot and relieve pain.

Do I need to wear them all day? +

It is advisable to wear them for most of the day, especially when your activity levels are high.

How does an orthotic insole help? +

It relieves foot pain, provides support, prevents or halts the progress of foot deformity, offloads pressure from specific areas of the foot, improves balance and gait, and relieves stress on the ankle, knee and hip joints and the spine.

What are orthotics made of? +

Orthotics are made of durable materials such as EVA, polypropylene and more, available in varying densities. The orthotist chooses the density required to support your particular foot problem.

Can children be advised orthotic insoles? +

Yes, children above 7 years of age can wear orthotic insoles.

How does an orthotic insole help in diabetic foot? +

In diabetic neuropathy, diabetic foot deformities and callosities, orthotic insoles are custom-made to offload high-pressure areas by distributing the pressure. In diabetic foot ulcers, the area is completely offloaded through pressure mitigation, which helps ulcers heal in the early stages.

Why is a 3D foot scan needed to customise orthotic insoles? +

The 3D foot scan measures foot length and width with high accuracy, and also detects your foot arch type. The scan output is saved in the software database for CAD modelling (computer-aided design) of your orthotic insoles.

What is a foot pressure scan? +

A foot pressure scan is the best way to analyse foot structure and evaluate abnormalities. Gait and balance can be assessed too. The pressure on the weight-bearing areas of the sole is recorded and measured.

How do the 3D foot scan and pressure scan help customise orthotic insoles? +

The 3D model of your foot — with volume measurements and arch type — together with the pressure measurements helps us design orthotic insoles with accurate support and pressure mitigation to offload high-pressure areas on the sole.

How long does it take to adjust to orthotic insoles? +

It takes about 2–3 weeks to feel comfortable using the orthotics all day long.

What is the success rate of orthotics? +

Studies show that they are highly effective, with an 85–90% success rate depending on the foot problem.

Are orthotic insoles put on top of regular insoles? +

No, orthotic insoles should not be placed on top of regular insoles.

Can custom orthotics fit in any shoe? +

Custom orthotics should be fitted in shoes with adequate depth.

Can I put orthotics in slippers? +

Yes, custom orthotics can be glued to sandals and slippers.
